Founder of Pup Round-Up, Belle Thompson’s career with dogs has been shaped by a lifelong love of animals and a dedication to the advancement of canine welfare.

Certified through Animal Behavior College and working full-time as a professional trainer, her experience spans from service dog training, private coaching, and group classes, to complex behavior modification, rescue and rehabilitation, and extensive work with dogs whose needs extend beyond obedience.

Belle approaches each dog and handler as individual rather than a diagnosis or a list of behaviors to fix. Her training emphasizes positive reinforcement, practical real-world skills, thoughtful behavior modification, and consideration of the whole dog. She believes owners deserve to understand the why behind their dog’s behavior and their training, not simply be handed a set of instructions.

Whether she is helping craft an everyday skillset, developing confidence in a fearful dog, or assisting a transition process into a new home, her goal remains the same: To create a common language between dogs and their people that gives both sides the tools to understand one another better.

For Belle, training has never been solely about performances, at the heart of her work is an enduring fascination and curiosity. Her methods revolve around education, advocacy, welfare, and dedication to improving the lives of dogs and the people who love them. By combining practical real-world training with evidence-based techniques, she helps owners build confidence, improve communication, and create lasting behaviors that strengthen the human-canine relationship both at home and beyond.
