Belle is a Certified Animal Behavior College Dog Trainer (ABCDT) with a passion for helping dogs and their owners achieve harmony through common language, education, and understanding. Belle’s love for animals began at a young age. Growing up in Arizona, she was surrounded by cattle dogs and hunting dogs which ignited and fostered her deep appreciation for the intricacies of canines and the magic of bonds between humans and dogs. She began formally working in the pet industry as a pet sitter and dog walker in her teens, gaining hands-on experience with dogs of all breeds, temperaments, and varying levels of care.
To formalize her expertise and further her education, Belle obtained her certification at Animal Behavior College where she trained under her mentor, Robin Roy, who is a certified trainer and behaviorist with years of experience. Under this mentorship she worked within a variety of contexts from private sessions with service dogs to group classes at West LA Dog Obedience Club (WLADOC), where she currently holds a position assisting Robin in obedience classes covering all levels from puppy to advanced training. Her well-rounded education, combined with her experience, has equipped her with the skills to understand and address a wide range of canine behaviors and training needs.
In addition to her work at Pup Round-Up LA and WLADOC, Belle is a Volunteer Trainer with a non-profit rescue, Foster Tales, in Bakersfield, CA. This rescue has an incredibly high success rate, partly due to her role on the team doing pre-adoption counseling which aligns with Foster Tale’s dedication to ethical dog ownership. Belle’s successes at Pup Round-Up has garnered a wide variety of clientele including high-profile clients, which has given her a reputation of reliability and confidentiality across Los Angeles.
Belle founded Pup Round-Up LA with the goal of changing the dog training world by bridging the communication gap between families and their furry residents. She believes dogs should be valued for their differences, not in spite of them. Her approach is never the same with each family and takes into account every factor of each dog’s and handler’s life to create a training routine that works. Her training is rooted in positive reinforcement and the latest scientific research, ensuring that training is effective, compassionate, and specific.
When Belle is not working with clients, you can find her training her own puppy, Winona, or watching movies with her cats, Basil and Beau, in her lap.
